Conference and demonstration:
From the magic lantern to the first moving images, what motivated the first researchers? How did rapid scientific progress contribute to the evolution of what was to become art and the film industry? How important are exceptional personalities who laid the groundwork for what we know today as cinema? These are the main questions addressed in this conference. Abundantly illustrated by the exhibition of exceptional devices and pieces from the personal collection of Martin Châteauvert, this presentation allows us to understand the process and the fascinating history of the seventh art.

Traveling exhibition:
Cinemartin offers the possibility of organizing an exhibition on the history of cinema based on the personal collection of Martin Chateauvert containing more than 400 devices and objects from pre-cinema to today.
